Marques de Murrieta are one of the grand old names of Rioja. They've been making some of the regions best wines since the 19th century. Dalmau sits at the top the Murrieta tree. It's made from a blend of tempranillo, graciano and cabernet sauvignon from a single vineyard and was aged in new French oak barriques. It has the power to last for decades so if you're planning to open it now, do give it a good decant and serve with something meaty.
Vanilla, blackcurrants, toasted oak and aromatic spices on the nose. One the palate its dense and powerful with dark fruit and firm tannins. Hugely long and complex.
