A radiant red Rioja from Marqués de Cáceres, produced from a core of Tempranillo grapes, hand-harvested in 2016. After fermentation, the wine is treated to 15 months in French oak barrels, imparting a rich, silky texture and tannic, spicy depth. Ideal for enjoying with roast meats and stews.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Bold and dry with plenty of tart blackberry and plum, earthen tobacco, and vanilla pod. A touch of liquorice rests beneath yet more dark, jammy fruit and a prickle of pepper.
