Iconic oaked Chenin Blanc from esteemed Stellenbosch-based winemaker Ken Forrester, who uses creates the FMC using natural fermentation in new French oak. FMC stands for Forrester, Martin Meinert (his fellow winemaker) and Chenin (the grape variety). Grown widely in South Africa where it is known locally as "Steen", Chenin Blanc is be capable of making full-bodied wines with plenty tropical fruit notes and honeyed richness, making it perfect for accompanying spicy food. Will happily cellar for several years.
Rich and full with plenty of apricot, vanilla and honey, the oak adds a weighty mouthfeel and great complexity. Simply stunning.
