
2015 vintage Rioja Reserva from Spain's El Coto winery. Produced with a core of tempranillo grapes, the wine spent a minimum of 24 months resting in a combo of American and French oak barrels before bottling. Splendid with poultry or pasta dishes.
Mellow red cherry and leathery oak lead the way, with earthen spice cushioned by dense forest fruit, cocoa, vanilla, and plum.
