Caparzo Sangiovese di Toscana 2020
Caparzo makes some extremely tasty and quite pricey wines in Brunello di Montalcino but it also makes some more midweek offerings like this. It's made from Sangiovese, the same grape used in Brunello, and it's made from various vineyards (Castelnuovo Berardenga and Magliano) within Montalcino but from younger vines which don't go into its big brothers. The result is something with plenty of Tuscan character but approachable, young and at a very modest price.
