Stella di Campalto Brunello di Montalcino Benedetta 2011
Incredible 2011 vintage Brunello di Montalcino from Stella di Campalto, who has long been practising both organic and bio-dynamic production. Name after one of the winemaker's daughters, Benedetta was made using fruit from the Il Leccio vineyard, with stony soil contributing to the aromatic nature of this wine. It also spent a good long while in oak, but the flavour profile manages to remain fragrant and fresh.

Juicy plum and orange, with light hints of vanilla followed by edible flower petals. A touch of menthol.
