Description

Another superb vintage of The Chocolate Block from South African winemaker, Boekenhoutskloof. This rich red wine is built around a core of syrah grapes, supported by grenache, cabernet sauvignon, cinsault, and just a small helping of viognier. Brimming with layers of rich red fruit and cacao, it'll make a great accompaniment to meaty dishes, or nibbles like smoked almonds and spiced olives.

Overall

Hedgerow fruits and plum pudding gives way to earthy spice, with soft tannins, and plenty of silky dark chocolate.
