The Allegrini family are one of the great names in Valpolicella, the famous red wine region near Venice. This particular wine, however, is an IGT Verona rather than a Valpolicella. It's made from a blend of three grapes, corvina, rondinella, and sangiovese and, in a nod to the powerful wines of Amarone, it is made with portion of dried grapes which give it a deep richness and intensity.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Bittersweet cherries on the palate with cloves, baking spices, and a touch of vanilla on the finish.
