A 16 year old whisky made from a mashbill of 80% corn and 20% malted barley brought to market by Japanese company Sasanokawa Shuzo. It was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and only 1,992 bottles have been made available in Europe.
Producer's Tasting Note:
Nose: Sweet and smooth aromas of vanilla, cedar, fruit cake and citrus.
Palate: Fluid and subtle toasted bread, coconut, fig and pear with a hint of liquorice.
Finish: Lingering and elegant woody notes with orange marmalade and sweet spices.
Overall: Deep richness, mellowness and complexity of flavours.

This might very well be the best whiskey I have ever had. It's not the classical smoked scotty, but it's so much more. Lighter in taste - try it!!! not my last bottle...

Pretty unknown whisky makers from YAMAZAKURA release this really nice and tasty 16 year old blend. Very fruity, hints of honey, banana and coco. Reminds a bit on HIBIKI 17, but less oaky. Definitely worth every penny, try to grab one, before its sold out and prices rise (like all Japanese).
