The Epicurean White Port Finish
Another outstanding addition to The Epicurean range from Douglas Laing, joining its Wood Finish series! This expression sees the glorious Lowland blended malt expertly treated to a finishing period in white Port casks from the Douro Valley in Portugal, imparting beautiful notes of honeyed fruit and zesty spice. A real treat for sipping after supper, perhaps accompanied by a nice board of cheese and grapes.

Nose
Honeyed citrus, fresh oak, and wood oil, with a touch of zest and soft vanilla.
Palate
Fruity berries and red fruits, a touch of spicy anise and ginger, hints of zesty lemon balm, and waxy oak.
Finish
Lingering spice and dark, jammy fruit with buttery malt and more peppery zest.
