The Epicurean Glasgow Edition

The Epicurean Glasgow Bottling Note

Douglas Laing has created a cask strength bottling of its The Epicurean blended malt - with a name honouring its home in Glasgow! Made exclusively with malt whiskies from the Lowlands, and references the Duke of Wellington statue's infamous traffic cone hat (a frequent sight in Glasgow). While it retains a lot of its classic Lowland-style elegance, the bumped-up ABV gives it a punchy flavour profile.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fresh barley and zesty lemon top notes, backed up by a whiff of peppery rye bread.

Palate: Heavy with vanilla and Victoria sponge cake. Grassy at points. Mint leaf herbaceousness.

Finish: Subtly chocolatey on the finish.

Delicious
I like Glasgow but I love this! This is a cracker of a Lowlander - big wholesome flavours - nuts, lemon meringue pie and honey barley.

Big fan
Not sure if it's the Whisky or the label I fell in love with, but either way it's great. Tastes superb, not as harsh as you might expect from a cask strength
