Description

The Starward team over in Melbourne, Australia is back with another helping of delicious ginger beer cask-finished single malt whisky! Starward teamed up with the Boatrocker Brewery to source those all-important ginger beer casks, which were used to finish Starward Solera (which is aged in Apera (an Australian fortified wine, not dissimilar to Spanish sherry) barrels). The result is a full-flavour, enjoyably spicy expression that will certainly stand out from the crowd.

Nose

Cinnamon gum and clove rock, cooked apple, orange peel, clear ginger notes.

Palate

Banana fritters, more ginger and cinnamon, a hint of caramel and mint leaf.

Finish

Fiery ginger lasts for minutes, mellowed by toffee and orchard fruit.
