Smokehead is a superb, cult single malt from Ian MacLeod. Just a massive, thick peat smoke rich dram. Plenty of great south Islay character.
Smoke! Lapsang souchong. Cool wood smoke. Thick and full.
Big, puckering peat. Smoky, fruity sweetness, touch of sherry, sultana. Herbal.
Herbal, tangy fruits and more peat smoke!

Wow this is great value, i think it’s a young Lagavulin but it could be the famous chameleon Caol Ila. There’s a perfect balance of oaky-ness and Sherry, well rounded and memorable. Very smooth, despite the young age. Bought on offer for £25, a bargain. T
Smoke. A touch of sherry and fruit on the palate, but mostly smoke - which is fine by me! I bought this on offer at £27, and at that price it's decent value.

Someone called this “the worst whisky” but sorry, that just is not true for me. This outpoints the Ardbeg Wee Beastie by some margin. Smoother, more palatable, chewier. I agree about the smell of rubber, the nose can put you off but the taste is immaculate, smoky and a touch of fruits.
