Penderyn Legend is a Welsh single malt whisky firstly matured in bourbon barrels and finished in ex-Madeira casks before it's bottled, imparting an intriguing touch of vibrant sweetness. It has been bottled at 41% ABV, slightly lower than the Welsh distillers' other Madeira-cask-finished single malt.

Different or not?. It's a strong fighter! It fills the mouth with a bunch of spicy varieties of pepper and jenjiber. That s all folks!.
A lovely smooth malt ? that deserves no accompaniment ?
I'm laughing at the below comments. Clearly have no idea what this whisky is. It's meant to be sweet as it clearly says in the advertising. It is a beautiful, fresh, fruity single malt, and the fact that this has become so popular so quickly all around the world says enough. I was recently in Spain, Singapore and CDG over the past few months and this is sold out in these places from speaking to the assistants. I've lived in Scotland for over 20 years and done all the tours, many nights of whisky tasting and this as advertised as what it is. It tastes different from other whisky's for a reason. Stick to selling pish to American's. It's a new brand and taste and it will be ultra successful without the need for huge advertising whisky needs in Scotland and Ireland to be successful.
Smooth. Lively. Exotic. Sultry. Ignore the hidebound whiskey ‘connoisseurs’ ; and enjoy this delightful whiskey. Well done Penderyn. Diolch!
I'm a well seasoned whisky drinker and im afraid this one is a swerve. I like to think I am fair with all the drams I try and take them for their individual character. However this particular entry is rather poor. Dont get me wrong penderyn have some big hitters in their range, but this aint one.
