Winner of 3 awardsMortlach
Part of a trio of expressions announced in 2018 (which also included a 12 Year Old and a 20 Year Old), this 16 year old Mortlach single malt is drawn from sherry casks - the rich sweetness complements the intense spirit that the distillery is known for. Expect dark fruit, treacle and punchy Christmas spice notes from this one...

Complex and rich flavor.
Sweet and treacly with a smooth finish. Certainly one of the best I’ve tasted.
This is thick and complex, sweet and rich with a bit of oak. One of my favourites in this price bracket.
This was recommended. Very enjoyable nose and taste. Starts with apple then caramel and dried fruit. Extremely pleasant.
Color: deep amber. Nose: fruit and spice. Opens immediately with water. Raisins, dates, figs and licorice. Palate: spice on delivery. Malty and fruity at mid-palate. Finish: long and magnificent.
