Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is of medium body, notes of malmsey, sherried peels, fruit salad, honeyed cigar box notes and tablet. There are hints of oaked tannins rising gently. The palate is quite full and well-balanced. Notes of toffee and Seville marmalade, shades of buttery fudge and spicy oak with peppery warmth. The finish is of good length with soft wood tapering out.

Miltonduff 10 Year Old (Gordon and MacPhail) Reviews

Once you have your first bottle you won’t want a wine infused label again

Whisky as it should be no sherry no port in fact just au natural

Can tell it's mainly used for Ballentine

Just not a fan, massively seems to have not married with the cask. Taste that spirit

taste the spirit not the cask

like most Milton duff products you get the natural whisky flavour, so easy to take a liking to from your very first experience, probably how whisky is meant to taste without the influence of other products

A key malt of Ballantine

nose: Malty, light

Palate: light, Malt, hint of fruitiness, peppery

Body light: (watery)

Finish medium, peppery

No fuss, easy drinking, not much character/flavour but not much to hate.

Нос - ароматный фруктовый микс - просто взрывная фруктовая свежесть!! Вкус жидковат, хуже чем аромат на много.. 5+ за аромат 3- за вкус

Very smooth and non-temperamental.

My wife picked it up on a trip to Scotland. And then we opened it amongst a bunch of old friends. Like matured friendships, it flowed beautifully. With nary a hint of harshness. Will definitely buy again.

Worth Trying

A very pleasant easy malt and far better than expected. I will buy again.

So Well Made

This is a gentle easy malt not at all like an Islay. It was far better than expected and I would highly recomend it. I have yet to find a poor whisky bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. This is very well made and I will buy again. Johnny Norfolk
