Distilled at Miltonduff in 2011, this single malt spent 11 years maturing, including a finish in an oloroso sherry puncheon. The cask was opened by indie bottler Alistair Walker, releasing a total of 651 bottles for the Infrequent Flyers collection.
Honeyed peach, apricot jam, runny caramel and oaken vanilla.
Malted Milk biscuits, cooked stone fruits, cinnamon swirls, and candied nuts.
Buttery fruit pastries, vanilla shortbread, mellow oak, and a touch of pepper.
Infrequent Flyers is one of the best independent bottlers out there. This is a rich, sherry-forward dram with lots of length. That said, it's a bit one-note, especially compared to other IF bottlings. Still, it's a lovely dram!
