Sorry about this...

We can't actually ship Lagavulin 1999 (bottled 2015) Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish - Distillers Edition to you in United States at the moment. We're working on a solution, but until then, here are some alternatives:

Lagavulin 1999 Distillers Bottling Note

It's not surprising that people love this particular Distillers Edition. Heavily peated Lagavulin single malt from Islay + a finishing period in casks that previously held sweet, dark, rich Pedro Ximénez Sherry (in fact it's 'double matured' in PX casks). Need we say more?

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Peat and iodine go toe to toe with sticky dried fruits including sweet Corinth raisins, but they all join together and become friends.

Palate: Vanilla, rum and raisin, rich smoke, juicy sherry, hazelnut, sticking plasters...

Finish: Long with cocoa, porcini mushroom and toffee.

Overall: Gorgeous. Enjoy with blue cheese.

Lagavulin 1999 (bottled 2015) Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish - Distillers Edition Reviews

A very fine dram.

Oily with peaty smokiness mixed with dark chocolate and spices with hints of fresh nuts, an incredibly well balanced whisky.

Great whisky from a great distillery.i

This is a fantastic whisky, smokey, complex and satisfying. A very pleasant change. Highly recommended.

Better than Lagavulin 16 year old?

Lagavulin (and Islay whiskies) has been one of my favourite brand among Ardbeg, Laphroaig and Caol Ila. Especially Lagavulin 16 yo has been my big favourite. Now testing this one and try to figure out this one. It is smooth, well balanced and very enjoyable and defenitly different than 16 yo. Excellent whisky.

Beyond good

Smokey front with lingering smooth finish. I have had some good scotch, but this is beyond good!

wonderful whisky

My first whisky I tried was the Lagavulin Distillers Edition 1998 (bottled 2014) and this was the experience why I decided to love whisky. After a lot of tastings, Lagavulin is simply the best! I love also the 8y, 16y, Distillers Edition 1999,...

Lagavulin 1999 (bottled 2015) Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish - Distillers Edition

Fruktig, något spritig. Inte särskilt rökig så inte alls de smaker jag söker hos en Lagavulin.

I love the std 16 yr and this is definitely the same family. The sherry works and the final product is simply delicious. Not as much smoke and peat, but it's still there. Keep one at the back of the shelf for special occasions.

Wow......... not a bad wee dram from the boys at Lagavulin again I have a new favourite.

Can you improve on perfection?

I really like the "standard" Lagavilin 16yo and judging by the reviews many think it to be the best whiskey ever so tinkering with the formula was always going to be a gamble. I personally think it paid off. This is without a doubt one of the nicest, if not the nicest, whiskey I have ever tasted. Perfect smoky sweetness and finish. Is it worth £20+more than the standard? Probably for a special occasion. Will I buy again? Yes, but I won't be sharing!

Threw the Roof!

A simply outstanding dram. Every pour I'm surprised that is actually as good as I thought I remembered!

27th July 2016

I only drink this scotch! It is hands down the best in the world!

Smoother than the regular 16

Good, but not as good as 16

With lagavulin, I expect to be blown away, but I really think the normal 16 year is better. Maybe my palate was messed up, but there was an unpleasant oiliness. Otherwise, the Pedro Ximenez casks are a wonderful subtle touch

A moore fruity less smokey Lagavulin

I liked this bottling alot, personally, but i can see why some might be missing that more untamed, smokey Islay spirit allthough this is definately an Islay whisky.
Nose: Rich and heavy balance of fruit and peatsmoke; Vanilla, rasins, gentle smoke, almond oil, seaweed with hints of salt and leather. A gentle nose for an Islay with heavy sherry characteristics
Taste: A bit oily on the palate. A smokey entrance with notes of rasins and brown sugar coming through. A fullboodied sweet, smokey finish.
Note: A solid whisky which represents great value for money. Highly recommended.

Add more smoke to it and it would be better I think

not a bad whisky at all, just add some more smoke, I liked the 16yo better.

Absolutely stunning

First time I have paid this price for a bottle, arrived today for my 30th. As standard I drink mine neat. In particular I find this bottling requires no ice or water to seperate the divine flavours, the double maturation process really shows in the superb richness of the wood, smoke and sweet flavours. All in all, long lingering on the nose, pallet and the finish with superb complexity and diversity of flavours and aromas - you will not regret none of it. Well done Lagavulin, I will definitely purchase again. As always Master of Malt arranged a timely delivery, with the bottle well-packaged. Could not ask for more.
