Glenmorangie Speakeasy Bottling Note

There was once a time when you could bottle your own whisky straight from the cask at the Glenmorangie distillery, at the distillery's "Speakeasy". This was bottled from a cask filled in 1990 and bottled in 2004. Rich and full of flavour, and very, very unusual!

Glenmorangie Cask No. 13038

We also sampled this remarkable whisky - bottle No. 45. Truly superlative! I'm still amazed our host who bottled it at Glenmorangie Distillery in Nov 2006 had the self-control to hold on to it for nearly a decade!

Bottle your own at Glenmorangie

On the 8th May, 2007 I bottled my own at the Glenmorangie Distillery. The cask No. 13038 which was filled in 1995. My bottle No. was 157 and and strength was 59.3%. I decided to keep it for a special occasion which was this week-end 30/9/12. Without doubt the best whiskey I have ever tasted and hope some day I can bottle another one. Alex Thompson
