Originally released for the Travel Retail market, The Elementa was crafted by Glenmorangie as a way of celebrating the art of wood finishing! As such, this 14 year old was initially matured in bourbon casks before being transferred to charred virgin oak for a finishing period. The result? A superbly honeyed, fruity, and gently spicy Highland single malt.
Nectarine, caramelised nuts, and spiced dark chocolate, with a good dollop of almond butter.
Generous helpings of runny honey, alongside home made berry jam, citrus curd, and spicy fudge.
A touch of oaky bitterness is balanced by yet more honey.

Spices are there, but don't jump out at you. Goes down smoothly and nicely. Will definitely think of purchasing again if and when I get the chance to travel. Highly recommend
Sweet but spicy - lots of ginger and cardamom, fragrant finish. Something different that's for sure - but in a good way. Definitely a very good single malt
