From the Fettercairn distillery at the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains comes the Fettercairn Fasque, which is named after a country estate that is also rather close to the distillery. It's an unpeated expression from the Highland distillery.
Baking spices, dried fruits, poached pears and a good whiff of oak.
Toffee pennies, oak spice and vanilla. Subtle mocha notes along the way.
Medium, with raisins and sultanas reappearing.
Really quite nice.

Had this as a present for my 50th but was disappointed I'm a Penderyn fan and this Was no where new it - not my taste at all sorry quite harsh on the palate
A Christmas gift from my daughter and it was a joyful surprise. Lovely just to sip on its own or with a hint of water. I would gladly accept this again and particularly enjoy the mellow aftertaste. A good one.
I have just got two bottles of this for Christmas from different sources and was pleasantly suprised. a very complex whisky very enjoyable to drink so many different flavours exploding in the mouth a lovely whisky to sit and sip while chilling out . It will definitely be on my shopping list in future.
This whisky was a bit more peatier than I expected although definitely a warming and overall a complexity off flavours that just come one after the other.
Marvellous!
