From the Fettercairn distillery at the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains comes the Fettercairn Fasque, which is named after a country estate that is also rather close to the distillery. It's an unpeated expression from the Highland distillery.
Baking spices, dried fruits, poached pears and a good whiff of oak.
Toffee pennies, oak spice and vanilla. Subtle mocha notes along the way.
Medium, with raisins and sultanas reappearing.
Really quite nice.

Tried this on the strength of some of the other offerings from the range. But this is just not worth it. Little harsh given the rather soft nose. With a chemical after taste. I can sympathise with the earlier remarks to the white bottle. Far better similarly priced malts to try.
Pleasant enough, but rough like a bourbon with the colour of Tizer! A bit too sweet for my liking.
Hadn't seen it before and was lured by the description that reminded me of Pendryn. There is a similar blend of flavours in the drinking, but a jolt of aftertaste that is a little bitter. Not as smooth as it could be and the nose is quite light. I definitely wouldn't get it again given a choice.
Great highland malt
Lovely smooth highland malt. Highly recommended.
