Probably Speyside's Finest Distillery 42 Year Old 1967 - Old Malt Cask (Douglas Laing)
A very deeply hued 42 year old from a secret distillery in Speyside. This was distilled in November 1967, aged in a sherry butt and bottled in June 2010. With lots of spicy sherried character, you'll just have to try and guess which top Speyside distillery this was from!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sweet and very spicy. Christmas spices in fact, with notes of almond, walnut, toffee and vanilla.
Palate
Gloriously musty sherry with notes of sweet spices, puckering tannic fruits, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
Finish
Medium dry with hints of smoke atop the sherry and cloved oranges.
