A 12 year old Japanese blended whisky, produced by Chugoku Jozo for the Togouchi range, who age their whiskies in a tunnel (makes a nice change from a warehouse, doesn't it?). Rather peaty, with spicy notes of oak running through it.

Taste nothing like a Japanese whisky. Avoid avoid
This is disappointing and I think it was the grain whisky mixed into this.
I had a sample of this bottle and was taken back how much lemon notes smell/taste there was. I got myself a full size bottle but it took 4 tastings to get the same notes as before. But i do like this very much. Would like higher %
Very impressed with this - lovely bottle, simple boxing, just shows Blends are wholly underestimated. Nose biscuit, lemon and plum. First taste, fruity but not in the expected Yuletide way, certainly plummy. Add teaspoon of water and BOOM - the shortbread is ready to take out of the oven. 40% seems on the low side, has a potency that seems a higher % on the tongue. After 15 mins, the lemon cones though. Hugely grateful for this experience - beautifully made and congratulations to the team behind this
A had no real expectations. But it´s great!
