Unfortunately, we can't ship The Cardrona Growing Wings - Oloroso Single Cask to the United States at the moment, but we've got some friends who can.
The Cardrona Distillery in New Zealand has marked the fifth anniversary of its first spirit being laid down to age with Growing Wings, a five year old single malt whisky, drawn from a single Oloroso sherry butt. Always fabulous to see new distilleries releasing more whisky, and following on from the Just Hatched bottlings, this one is particularly exciting indeed. 1,248 bottles were produced.
Nose: Dried fruit sweetness, candied ginger, fresh barley and waxy orange peels.
Palate: Juicy sultanas, thick layers of marmalade and Nutella, crunchy walnuts.
Finish: Vanilla, chocolate biscuits, white pepper.
