The Cardrona Growing Wings - Central Otago Pinot Noir Cask
The Cardrona Distillery's Growing Wings series keeps on growing with this superb bottling, which has seen the single malt whisky matured in a Central Otago Pinot Noir cask. Specifically, a Pinot Noir cask from New Zealand's Mt. Difficulty Winery. it was distilled in 2016, and eventually bottled in 2021 at 67.4% ABV, with 561 of these 35cl bottles produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Green apple and dried apricot, with a subtle savoury edge.
Palate
Strawberries with cream, brown sugar, malty vanilla, and a kick of white pepper.
Finish
A hint of blood orange acidity on the finish.
