A well-aged Benrinnes here, distilled over in Speyside back in October 1996. The single malt was then left in a single hogshead for over two decades, until May 2019 when Signatory cracked open the cask. A limited 280 bottles were released for the Cask Strength Collection, bottled at cask strength (obvs), a generous 52.3% ABV.
Spicy oak, with freshly baked sourdough and chocolate spread, along with dried banana.
Banoffee pie and waxy honeycomb, with orange chocolate and cinnamon.
Barley sugar and a hint of oak char, with orange oil and warming nutmeg.
