Douglas Laing
Scotland
Single Malt
Good gosh, would you look at this! A 21 year old Ardbeg, bottled by Douglas Laing! What an amazing addition to the Old Particular range. The whisky was produced at the Islay distillery in October 1992 and bottled by Douglas Laing in October 2013 at 48.6% abv. A limited release of 232 bottles which are sure to fly off the shelves.
i'd suggest the price was perfect. this was an outstanding bottle and I first tried it in Switzerland. very unique and the best Ardbeg I've tried.
Has anybody actually tasted this whisky rather than being idiots and giving it a mark without sampling?
I'll tell you what I think of the price...utterly diabolical! I really fancy an independently bottled Ardbeg, and I'd even consider paying up to £100 pounds for this. But nearly half a grand is taking the mickey...especially for what I presume is a refill (2nd fill) cask bottling, not even a first fill judging by the lack of colour.
Another bottler..and are perfect candidate for my shit list!
Fly off the shelves? At 68 maybe...
