Regal Rogue Daring Dry

Another "Fearlessly Handcrafted" Australian vermouth here from the Regal Rogue range. This is their Daring Dry expression, made with a selection of native Australian herbs including anise myrtle, quandong and native thyme, as well as white pepper, olive leaf and juniper. The result is intriguingly savoury, with salty touches coming through too - the minds of the cocktail enthusiasts out there ought to be whirring with ideas for how to use this...

Reviews for Regal Rogue Daring Dry Vermouth
My favourite vermouth
I’ve tried a number of the more well regarded vermouths (in the context of a ‘dirty’ vodka martini - my favourite drink) and for my money, nothing comes close to this.

Winner of World’s Best Vermouth!
I bought this after I saw it won world’s best vermouth at the world vermouth awards. It’s so unique and is now a staple. It’s savoury and umami - almost briney and salty. I made 2 drinks, a classic martini and a spritz with soda and fino sherry. Yes!

World's Best Dry Vermouth
I bought this having seen that it won World's Best Dry vermouth at the World Vermouth Awards.

I've been aware of the brand for some time. The are making vermouth form New World, organic wines from Australia and fortifying with aboriginal botanicals. They have 4 in the range and this is classed as Savoury and Umami.

It's incredible. It's dry, funky, super savoury and works in a range of drinks. It's brilliant in a 50/50 martini with a quality dry gin and works great in a spritz with Soda and a hint of Fino Sherry.

It's not a staple at home

A new dry vermouth style
This is incredible if you like savoury and salty flavours and is lovely over ice with olives, cured meats.
