A magnificent aromatized wine from the Montanaro Distillery in Italy! Based upon the original 19th century recipe of the distillery's founder, Dr. Montanaro, who added the bitter bark of the gentian Cinchona tree to rich Barolo red wine. With the addition of the likes of quinine, rhubarb, cinnamon, and cloves, this is delightfully bitter – ideal for sipping after dinner, and should be extremely useful for cocktails too.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Aromatic spices, cinnamon, and anise balance bitter rhubarb, clove, woody roots, and a herbaceous, balsamic tang.
