Reviews for Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry
Very different
I've been drinking Harvey's Bristol Cream for over 40 years. I don't care what the makers say......it has definitely changed in flavour. Hated the blue bottle, hated the screw top. Now the sherry tastes like a sweet moderate rather than the great sherry it once was. It lacks that something that made it so good. I've moved to a different one now as it leaves my pallet dissatisfied.

Less is less
I believe that the Pedro Ximenez content has been reduced. This is the very rich sweet sherry that is made from sun dried grapes. No doubt, they wished to make a lighter sherry that could be chilled. Terrible mistake. Harvey’s is loved for that rich deep sweet but not cloying flavor. If you want to try something like it source Malaga Virgin it’s like syrup and has all the flavor that this terrible marketing ploy from Harvey’s lacks. It’s not bad but it’s not Harvey’s Bristol Cream.

Please return to the old blend blue bottle is rubbish stay clear
After looking for my Bristol cream sherry and only finding a new blue bottle I purchased thinking it was just a marketing ploy.
But on opening I discovered it is a completely new blend and to be honest it's terrible my advice is to find a different brand.

Like watered down chemical rubbish
I am so relieved to eventually find other people who know that this Sherry is nothing like what it used to be. When I tell my beer drinking husband he laughs and says they would never change Harvey’s Bristol Cream, he thinks it’s me who has the problem.

Garbage & Lies from Harveys
After finding that the bottle of harveys i bought changed it's labelling to blue in a screw top bottle with the added 'solero' info, i googled it and found 'official' statements such as: “The liquid itself is the same classic blend...". this is utter BS as testified to by almost all reviews i have read from customers who know this sherry is nothing like the harveys we remember and loved from a couple of years ago. Instead we get more bs about a new thrmochromic ink that tells us when it's the right temperature (how did we manage before for all those years?) in an attempt to sell you on some kind of improvements to distract you. do yourself a favour by voting with your feet and look for other brands in the hope harveys will get the message and know they cant live on past glories, as the current sherry with it's harsh flavour aint even worth wasting in a trifle.

The recipe has to have changed
Gutted, knew straight away there was something wrong, I thought my dishwasher rinse aid needed topping up. A slightly medicinal/perfume type taste. Not tummy warming and rich at all. Will not buy again, sadly.

Disappointing
The taste is not as deep and rich as before. It tastes / feels watered down, and the flavours that made the original so special seem to be missing. Seems thinner. I've always drank it at room temperature (and certainly not chilled, which is advised on the label). This does not appear to be the only forum where customers have raised issues about the taste having changed; this is despite the Harvey's Sherry website stating that there has been no change to the production / blending etc.

Disappointment with the loss of a old friend
Agree with other comments especially as my wife cut her finger on the screw top. Harveys Bristol Cream is no longer special and Harveys have ruined the perfect aperitif. Any suggestions of a good quality replacement?
