A rather intriguing sip from the Sweet Potato Spirit Co. - a Spiced Rum made with a mash of sweet potato and sugar cane molasses!
Brown sugar (developing hints of vanilla-rich caramel), lemon peel, red fruit, black pepper and stem ginger.
A lovely spiced rum an enjoyable drink , I only had 5cl with chocolate this is why I’m going to buy a proper bottle for special occasions
My son sent me an miniature of this (with some chocs) for a birthday treat. This has got to be the best rum I have tasted. I didn't put a mixer in as did not want to spoil the taste. A few ice cubes was enough. After taste of caramel and so smooth. Alas, it is quite pricey for just 50cl so will have to wait until next year to maybe get another surprise from him.
Beautiful rum, very smooth and you can get the hint of caramel which is amazing ok your palate. I happily enjoyed it with just coke and some ice out in the sun and almost felt I was abroad for the moment! Definitely recommend it.
