I bought this for my missus as she is both a Rum fan(pirate blood?) & A 007 fanatic.We have sampled many of the Appleton estate rums & I have tried both iterations of their rims issued under the Blackwell label.I found this rum really lacking it is not at all smooth.& For the same price there is far better to be had.Flor De Cana 12year old, Ron Abuelo 12 year old are far better & even the Ron Abuelo 7 is smoother & has a better flavour.
You can tell this is blended by Joy Spence she is a master of Rum, really enjoyed this.
