Over on the Isle of Mull, Whitetail Spirits made use of its home-grown rhubarb alongside stem ginger and Madagascan vanilla for this autumnal gin liqueur. The tasty trio was infused into Whitetail Gin, before being bottled at 22% ABV. A glorious balance of sweet, tart and spicy notes!
Creamy, sweet vanilla is balanced by a kick of spice, with touches of juniper and linger tart rhubarb.
I love Whitetail gin but really wish I hadn’t ordered this one - the ginger, vanilla and rhubarb is so sickly sweet I can’t drink it. The taste of rhubarb and vanilla (can’t detect the ginger) is totally overwhelmed by a cloying syrupy sweetness. It has completely put me off ordering the other flavours - will stick to the delicious original in future!
