Whitetail Gin

Inspired by the White-tailed eagles which nest close by to its distillery on the Isle of Mull, Whitetail Gin is made using a selection of botanicals native to the island. This includes pine needles, heather and sea-kelp from shores of Loch Scridain. It's distilled at the family home on Mull, which is the Isle of Mull’s first new distillery in over 220 years, which is pretty cool if you ask us.

Oh, and we couldn't let you leave without a fun fact: White-tailed eagles are the UK's largest bird of prey!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Soft though spicy, with a touch of coastal air from the sea-kelp. Juniper is robust enough to take control from the maritime elements throughout.

Reviews for Whitetail Gin
I tried this gin whilst in Edinburgh and the way it was served was really, really good! They served it with grapefruit and elderflower tonic. It was so good I ordered a bottle from here!

I bought this gin mainly on the strength of the reviews and the botanicals that it contained and find it quite disappointing. Although smooth, it is bland and has a vaguely unpleasant oily aftertaste.

Nice balance between being strong and smooth and cracking with grapefruit and a med tonic

Smooth as you like
I had heard about this gin for quite a while but was reluctant to sample until they brought distillation home to Mull which is now the case. Well...it was certainly worth the wait! It is tremendously smooth and is delicious neat just as much as it is with their recommended serve of a slice of grapefruit and some of my garden rosemary.

Good: Proper Gin
I had read this on my radar for quite a while and can now confirm it is brilliant and one of the best London Dry's I have tasted. Good, proper gin the way it should be I would say.
