Made by infusing blackberries with alcohol, with nothing else added except water and sugar. Giffard's Crème de Mure is rich and wonderfully fresh in flavour.
I haven't tried many blackberry liqeurs, but this was dry and quite faithful to the taste of a real blackberry. I used it in a bramble cocktail and the resultant drink was delciious.
Lovely to try this old favourite , it is still as lovely as before
