Chartreuse Yellow

A sweet and spicy liqueur, Chartreuse Yellow is somewhat milder than the Green variant. There's many unique things about this tipple, not least that it's made by Carthusian Monks, who were given the recipe all the way back in 1605. What's more, the flavour and colour are completely natural, derived from the 130 herbs and plants used. This bottling is presented at 43% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Liquorice root, hints of green herbs, a little black pepper and grape skins.

Palate Creamy, floral palate. Black pepper brings warmth, with a superb herbal, spicy complexity from lavender, fennel seed and cinnamon.

Finish Sweet, herbal finish.

I've been really good, can I have

Reviews for Chartreuse Yellow
A unique drink
This is the sweeter of the 2 Chartreuse’s and marginally lower ABV. It is a vital ingredient in the Yellow Jacket: 60ml Repasado Tequila, 30ml St Germain, 22.5ml Yellow Chartreuse, 1 dash Orange bitters. Stirred with ice, garnished with a lemon twist. The Yellow Jacket No2 has 60ml Gin, 15ml Yellow Chartreuse, 30ml lemon juice & 15ml honey syrup. Shaken with ice, no garnish.
