The Gospel Whisky

The Gospel Whisky is a distillery in Melbourne's inner north. It combines divine music inspiration with whisky making. They aim to mix American whiskey tradition with Australian character. The Gospel is not just a drink. It is about passion, dedication, and being real.

The Gospel focuses on rye. It is the only distillery in Australia dedicated to rye whiskey. Their rye is 100% Australian, grown in the Murray Mallee region of South Australia. This area's tough climate makes the rye small but strong. This gives a unique flavour.

Making rye whiskey is hard. It's often seen as the toughest whiskey to perfect. But The Gospel turns this challenge into an excellent drink. It has the deep, spicy taste of traditional American rye whiskey with an Australian twist. You'll taste vanilla, cinnamon, and dried fruits. These mix with pepper, grass, and grain. The Gospel is good neat or in a cocktail. It offers a familiar yet new experience.

Master Distiller, Ian Thorn, ensures quality. He is Australia's first 'Master Distiller'. Ian oversees every part of The Gospel's production. Each bottle shows craftsmanship, integrity, and authenticity.

The founders, Ben and Andrew, built the distillery with help from friends and family. It took 18 months. They built a six-metre-high continuous column still and a custom Copper Pot still. Their passion has attracted a team of experts who love rye whiskey.

But The Gospel is more than just a drink. They focus on social responsibility, sustainability, and community support. Their packaging is 100% recyclable. They try to minimise waste. They give 2.5% of net profit to partner charities.

The Gospel Whisky is about making great spirits. It also highlights truth, authenticity, and community. It invites people to learn about rye and enjoy discovery and delight.
