Bathtub Gin

Multi-award-winning Bathtub Gin is also known for its signature look: the faux brown paper bag wrapped around the bottle, hand pleated, twined and waxed by hand. Since 2011, these gins have been packed full of flavour using the best ingredients. Bathtub Gin is now available in Cask-Aged, Navy-Strength, Sloe and Old Tom variants, as well as a slew of flavoured editions, whilst the regular edition is also available in Magnum (1.5 litre) and Methuselah (6 litre) sizes. Bathtub has received Gold Outstanding and Master awards from the International Spirit & Competition and The Gin Masters respectively, plus Best Compound Gin at the World Gin Awards 3 years running (2014, 2015 & 2016) and 2 International Spirits Challenge Trophies! The approach to production is defined by a willingness to embrace time-honoured techniques such as cold compounding. The base gin is produced in a copper pot still with ten botanicals. This is reduced to 45% ABV and split in half. One half is put to one side and the other half is infused with six botanicals [juniper, dried orange peel, cardamom, cloves, coriander seeds, and cassia bark] and left for at least one week. The flavours are extracted at ambient temperatures to capture those which don’t survive traditional, high-temperature distillation. There’s an obvious hue, too. Imagine a tea bag left in room-temperature water for a few hours. This gin is blended into the original, 10-botanical copper pot-distilled gin.
