Meursault, a village in the Cote d'Or, is famous for producing some of the ripest, most opulent white wines in Burgundy. Made from old vine 100% chardonnay, this comes from the ever reliable Domaine Vincent Girardin and is aged in French oak barrels. It's full and toasty with a delicious freshness. Drink it now with fish, especially if butter is involved, or keep for a few years and it will develop into something truly magnificent.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Green apple and stone fruit on the nose with some smokiness and then a creamy, honeyed, nutty richness. Gorgeous!
