A robust and punchy red wine from Travaglini, Gattinara Tre Vigne is made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes from historic vineyards in Piedmont, Italy. The wine spent 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels before it was bottled, imparting some delightfully vigorous tannins. We're a big fan of the slightly lopsided bottle, which was designed specifically to be a work of art and catch sediment at the same time. Fabulous and functional.
Dark berry jam and rich notes of pomegranate and juicy plum, tannic cooking spices rest beneath with a touch of leather and vanilla.
