Château De Pez Grand Vin Saint-Estèphe 2013
Sometimes you just have to open a magnum of claret and what better one to open that this magnificent Saint Estephe from Château de Pez. The commune of Saint Estephe traditionally makes some of the most muscular wines in the Medoc. After nine years this is still stuffed with fruit and spice but the tannins have softened now and it's drinking absolutely superbly. Buy a rib of beef, invite over a load of people and uncork this beauty.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Dense spicy nose, some earthy notes, dark fruit just taking on a stewed quality. Initially tannins are a bit firm but they soften with time open, revealing ripe fruit, lots of spice, and woody herbal notes.
