Saint Cosme Cote-Rotie 2020
Côte-Rôtie means 'roasted slope' because it gets so much sunshine. It's located in the Northern Rhone and its dominated by the red grape syrah though growers are allowed to add small amounts of the white grape viognier to their Côte-Rôtie. This producer Saint Cosme is better known for its Southern Rhone reds, specifically from Gigondas, but this is a fine foray north. You could drink this now, if so decant, or keep for 5-10 years.

Fresh raspberries on the nose, with dark cherries, rosemary and violet. Lovely freshness on the palate too with vibrant fruit, rosemary and black olive notes.
