Riesling is scrumptious - perhaps even more so when made in a slightly off dry style, as is the case with this offering from Riverby Estate. An older block of Riesling vines is the source for this expression, and the grapes are occasionally allowed to develop a little botrytis in order to add a natural sweetness to the wine. Superb stuff.
Fresh and floral, with ripe peach and rose water characteristics, leading to an intensely flavoured palate of grapefruit, lime and freshly cut green apple, all backed up with a touch of minerality and lovely fresh acid. Great as an aperitif or with seafood.
