Montes Alpha are the masters at Bordeaux varieties like merlot and cabernet. They're been turning out great wines since the late '80s. This is from the brand's Classic Series offering lots of ripe, easy-drinking fruit at a great price.

Plums, blackcurrants and dark cherries - lots of fruit with a nice fresh acidic lift to it and a spicy finish.
