It's the 2021 vintage of spectacular Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand's Mahi winery, which happens to be in its 21st year of making tasty wines! Produced using grapes from six different vineyards in the Marlborough region, where a slightly cooler climate results in grapes with a crisper, citric character. A small portion (just 20%) of the wine is fermented in French oak barrels, imparting soft hints of vanilla and a glorious texture, that ought to make this ideal for relaxed dining.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Plenty of zest with crisp lemon, sweet hints of orange and pithy grapefruit, creamy wafts of almond and vanilla pave the way for sweeter tropical fruits, finishing up with savoury, vegetal salinity.
