From Lionel Faury comes this 2018 Condrieu, named La Berne after the previous owners of the land. It's produced entirely with Viognier grapes harvested from 35 year old vines. Around 30% was aged in new barrels, and 30% was aged in second- to fourth-fill, so there's touches of creamy oak among the fruit. A tasty pairing with creamy risottos!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Fresh peach and apricot vibrancy, with a citrus acidity alongside a mineral edge, oaky vanilla and orchard fruit.
