Time was when a lowly Bourgogne rouge label would have been code for 'proceed with utmost caution' but nowadays the standard of ordinary reds in Burgundy has improved out of all recognition. This wine is made largely from grapes grown around Marsannay and has much of the magic and style of Rene Bouvier's more expensive bottles, but at a much more reasonable price.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Light and refreshing with ripe black cherries, raspberries, and some darker spicy notes.
