Rully is a village in the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy and is increasingly home to some of the region's best whites - which means some of the world's best. This comes from Faiveley, one of the grand old names of the region. This is made from hand-picked chardonnay grapes, about 50% were fermented in oak barrels and 50% in tanks. The result is top notch white Burgundy that while good now will age fora good few years. Try this with shellfish or roast chicken.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Green apple, peach and lime with a piercing freshness followed by a long toasty finish with a hint of hazelnuts.
