Domaine Sainte Rose was founded in the Languedoc by a British couple Charles and Ruth Simpson (who now also make wine at Simpson Estate in Kent). This southern French sparkling wine was made using the same method as Champagne with the same grapes, pinot noir and chardonnay. The result is something crisp and full-flavoured, and at a fraction of the price of Champagne or indeed English Sparkling Wine.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Green apple and lemon with toasty and nutty notes on the finish.
